DPA at the Putt-Putt Regatta
As the 2025 Davistown Putt-Putt Regatta approaches, Davistown Progress Association revs up. As a long-time partner of the Regatta and provider of facilities on the day, we know it's our best opportunity to showcase what we do. And, of course, we aim to attract new members and do some fundraising. See our blog post for ways that you can help, either during the preparations or on the day.
DPA GETAWAY REGATTA RAFFLE
This year, as well as some smaller raffles, we have a very special BIG raffle – our DPA Getaway raffle – which will be drawn at 3:00pm at the Regatta, on Sunday 19th October.
Tickets will go on sale at our General Meeting (7pm, 10th September, in the Progress Hall), and will be available for purchase in person and online through the Raffletix platform from then until 2:45pm on Regatta day.

In addition to our major raffle, Davistown Progress Association will be running regular chocolate wheel draws during Regatta Day, with vouchers worth $20-50 in prizes (winners to choose up to $50 in total), and in partnership with the Kincumber Men's Shed, a RE-raffle – that is, raffles of upcycled products that have been RE-novated, RE-gifted, RE-scued or RE-purposed in some way.
Voucher donors for the chocolate wheel include The Bakehouse, Officeworks, Coles, Mitre 10, BCF, Watercolour Art, Tribal Bliss Dance, ChairFit, Saratoga Quality Meats, Looloos Cafe, Nurtureworks Yoga, Dynamix Dance, Fair Cravin' Cafe and others, as well as three fishing reels donated by BCF.

Shelly Beach Resort
Shelly Beach Resort is a small holiday resort comprising 20 two-storey townhouses, situated approximately halfway along the 9km coastal walk that runs from the town centre of Port Macquarie to Lighthouse Beach. Each townhouse in the Resort is fully self-contained, including two bedrooms, dining and lounge areas, fully equipped kitchen, and generous bathroom with laundry facilities. Outside each townhouse is a small courtyard, plus carport suitable for small to medium cars. The communal areas include a heated pool, spa, barbecue area, games room, children's playground and tennis court.
The Resort is located 500m from Shelly Beach, via a pleasant walk through SeaAcres coastal rainforest. Nearby shops (150m walk) include a corner store, takeaway, and village petrol station.
